Of course the Florida Keys are world-famous, and justly so, for their aqua-dappled ocean and breathtaking scenery. But the Island Runaways know that you can find plenty of Florida island beauty in other parts of the Sunshine State. The fact is, barrier islands surround Florida like so many scattered pieces of pirate treasure. From rustic Dog Island on the Panhandle, to gracious Amelia island on the northeastern coast, to Siesta Key with its award-winning white sand, there are enough islands to suit almost every island lover. We love visiting Florida isles...and writing about them, too!
