For Americans, Cuba has long been a forbidden fruit -- an alluring tropical paradise so close, but shut off due to their government. Now through specific programs -- educational, charitable, and academic, U.S. citizens are beginning to experience the incredible culture and beauty of the Pearl of the Caribbean.

 

Do you want mountains? Colonial architecture to fuel a photographer's dream? Pristine beaches? Tunes you've got to get up and dance to? Cuba has it all. One of our Island Runaways (Laura) traveled there for an academic research project, and fell in love with the place.
