Island Arts & Island Artists

One of the things the Island Runaways love about travel is the chance to discover artwork inspired by the islands. And, when possible, we jump at the chance to bring back a piece of art with us. It's the perfect souvenir! Not something made in a factory out of plastic, but an item that has been crafted with heart and soul.

It's not always easy making a living from artwork, so we're eager to shine a spotlight on men and women whose creativity embodies the Island Runaways spirit. Do you know of an artist we should feature? Leave us a tip on our Guest Island Expert page. We'd love to hear from you!

You can also use this page as a springboard to our Island Decor page (with island-inspired décor) and Island Style page (with island-inspired clothing and accessories). Thanks, and hope you have a sunny, beach-y day!

There’s nothing like a piece of art to help conjure up the islands, even when your last getaway is but a distant memory. One artist we’ve discovered recently lives far away from Island Runaways headquarters. Alison Fennell paints and makes her home in Wales in the Unit...
